As TaylorSmith’s Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, Shedrick brings 20 years of experience in the Quality Assurance/Food Safety sector supporting the needs of the Pharmaceutical, Dietary Supplement, Food and Beverage industries.
Previously held positions include; 1) Director, Food Service for Intertek USA, managing all aspect of Regulatory Consulting, Auditing, Training and laboratory services for the Food and Agriculture Business Products. His responsibilities included creating customized audits for Nutraceutical, Food and Agriculture clients. 2) Quality Assurance Manager for Kaneka North America; a leading manufacturer of pharmaceutical bulk powders, intermediates and fine chemicals, including nutritional supplements and foodstuffs. During his tenure, he was responsible for all aspects of Quality Assurance/Regulatory, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (FDA, UDSA, EPA and others), food safety systems and providing direct supervision of all Quality Control Testing and Laboratory Operations on site. 3) Air Liquide Industrial L. P. US, a global leader in gases for industrial and Health, he served as the Quality Manager – HSEQ&RM supporting Quality/Regulatory and managing an analytical testing facility with responsibility for forty (40) manufacturing facilities across the United States and Canada. Manufacturing included Pharmaceutical, Food / Beverage and Industrial products.
He holds Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Biology / Chemistry and individual certifications include the following;
1) Certified Manager of Quality/Operational Excellence
2) Practitioner of Safe Quality Foods
3) HACCP Manager
4) ISO9001:2008 Lead Auditor
